The Facets of Love - NewBridge on the Charles

Calliope’s Call presents 'The Facets of Love’, which explores the intricacies of this human experience: the search for love, young love, flirtation, jealousy, and the death of love. Experience an evening of art song that encapsulates the many facets of love in music by beloved composers Richard Strauss and Georges Bizet, 19th century Spanish composers Rafael Taboada y Mantilla, Francisco de Borja Tapia and Jose Valero, and selections by Boston-based composer, Scott Wheeler.

Castle of our Skins Concert - Redfern Arts Center at Keene State College

Collaborating with Castle of our Skins, this concert will feature David Baker's 'Roots II "Boogie Woogie" for violin, cello and piano, and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor's Piano Quintet, Op. 1, as well as works by Florence Price and George Walker

National YoungArts Foundation: Classical Instrumentalist Music Director

With Team Project Director Cynthia Wong and Cassandra Lovering, we will create and direct a show featuring the winners of the National YoungArts Foundation Instrumental division.

The National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) was established in 1981 by Lin and Ted Arison to identify and nurture the most accomplished young artists in the visual, literary, design and performing arts, and assist them at critical junctures in their educational and professional development. Through a wide range of annual programs, performances, and partnerships with some of the nation’s leading cultural institutions, YoungArts aspires to create a strong community of alumni and a platform for a lifetime of encouragement, opportunity and support.

Young Artists Art Song Competition - Calliope’s Call

Singers ages 13-18 have the opportunity to compete for cash prizes and a chance to perform with Calliope’s Call in the spring Cross Connections: Juliana Hall concerts!

Founded in 2014, Calliope’s Call is an innovative art song performance group that concertizes around the United States. Our artists are professional emerging and established singers and instrumentalists who are dedicated to the performance of vocal chamber music and classical art song. Calliope’s Call creates unique and dynamic programs of works by traditional composers as well as living composers of contemporary music to share the entire spectrum of the art song repertoire with audiences.

Woodwind Faculty Recital: Keene State College

Recital includes Walter Hartley's Sonata for tenor saxophone & piano, and Pierre Sancan's Sonatine for flute & piano.
